Winter Maintenance Tips From CE

March 22, 2016 ·

Harsh winter weather can take a real toll on your outside drive-thru equipment.  To maintain good sound quality and clear communications between customers and crewmembers, regularly check:

  • Speaker post grills to keep them free of ice, sludge and grime
  • The acoustical foam inside speaker and microphone enclosures
  • Menuboards and signage for loose wiring or other physical damage
  • Drive-thru pavement for potholes or large cracks

Inside the kitchen, you can keep your headset equipment in top shape by doing the following:

  • Use disposable earmuff covers to extend the life of the earmuffs
  • Replace headset earmuffs every 60-90 days
  • Regularly clean all headset surfaces, including microphone boom, with mild cleanser and water
  • Store equipment away from food preparation areas
  • Change batteries every 18 to 24 months

When regular maintenance is no longer enough, call CE at 877-731-0334 for fast headset repairs or replacement parts. We offer same-day service on most parts and all our repairs are guaranteed!
